Malong Technologies Selected as a Leading Retailtech Enterprise
KPMG and the CCFA identified high-growth retailtech enterprises that strive to advance digitalization, intelligence, and integration for the retail industry. Malong Technologies, a leading computer vision technology provider, was selected for delivering significant value to retailers by reducing shrinkage (inventory loss) and improving the customer experience at in-store self-service systems. Using the KPMG proprietary Startup Insight Platform (SIP) and a team of experts, 50 leading enterprises specializing in retailtech with major deployments in the Chinese retail market were selected through a quantitative analysis on six different aspects including the team, technology, product, market, business model and funding. The winners were announced at the annual CCFA International Retail Innovation Summit held in Shanghai. As a global leader in AI for product recognition, Malong Technologies has been committed to providing smart retail solutions to retailers worldwide.

Malong Technologies is on a mission to help the retail industry transform with AI to significantly improve operational efficiency, security and customer experience. Its deep learning breakthroughs are in use by its customers via Malong's RetailAI suite – RetailAI Protect, RetailAI Fresh and RetailAI Cabinet.
NVIDIA Brings AI Intelligence to Retail Stores, at NRF 2020 NVIDIA Blog
The convergence of AI, 5G and edge computing is unleashing unprecedented opportunities for retailers in areas like customer experience and smarter AI-enabled stores. Attendees of NRF 2020, the world's largest retail expo, taking place Jan. 12-14 in New York, can see how NVIDIA is working with some of the most innovative solution providers to re-invent the retail industry. NVIDIA's edge computing offerings are powering ready-to-use AI applications that reduce shrinkage, optimize logistics and create operational efficiencies. The NVIDIA EGX edge computing platform enables retailers to scale the power of AI beyond data centers into local environments where data is gathered, such as in-store aisles, checkout counters and warehouses. Among them is AnyVision (NRF booth 1727), whose Store Insight software generates intelligence about customer behavior inside stores to optimize merchandising decisions.
Accenture Envisions Using AI to Broadly Apply Computer Vision
Accenture this week signaled its intention to apply computer vision and product recognition technologies more broadly by investing in Malong Technologies. Based in China, Malong Technologies has been applying computer vision technologies enabled by machine learning technologies to supply chains. But Mike Redding, managing director for Accenture Ventures, says Accenture plans to apply the artificial intelligence (AI) technologies developed by Malong Technologies to a broad range of use cases, including health care and transportation. In a recent trial for an Accenture client, the Malong AI technology achieved the same level of accuracy as human doctors in detecting cases of stroke from brain-scans, says Redding. Redding says Accenture decided to invest in Malong Technologies because the AI pioneer has been recognized by Google, Microsoft and Gartner as being the provider of one of the most advanced implementations of computer vision technologies based on AI.
These 8 Ways Artificial Intelligence Changes E-commerce Will Blow Your Mind
Last week a story went viral about how Facebook shut down two artificial intelligence robots when they started talking to each other in a language engineers couldn't understand. Welcome to the intelligence era. Let's think a little deeper about AI than the rise of the machines and consider the next big industrial shakeup. Artificial intelligence and big data are going to change everything. Yet again, innovation will flourish and industries will be completely disrupted. New industries and industry leaders will emerge, and many companies will go out of business.
Malong Technologies: Winner in G20 “Olympics of Startups”
SHENZHEN, China--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Malong Technologies, an artificial intelligence startup and international provider of product recognition technology, was named winner in the "Olympics of Startups" held at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs' Alliance, in Berlin. Malong Technologies' breakthrough ProductAI platform is a high performance'intelligent eye' that enables machines to have human-like visual perception of products, including non-rigid objects such as fashion and fabrics, which have historically been infeasible for computers to recognize accurately without barcodes. Malong Technologies beat startups from every nation at the G20, which represents the 20 major economies of the world. Judged by officials of the European Union and other international organizations, the competition, run by the "Get in the Ring" foundation, led participants through a series of six rounds held over two days, and included'head-to-head' oratory matchups inside a replica boxing ring. The three winning nations include China, represented by Malong Technologies, Canada, and France. As winners, Malong Technologies will benefit from the international visibility which can help open doors to more global customers for its product recognition technology.
